6 Days from Mhamid, the most beautiful Dunes of the Sahara

With our trekkings you leave your everyday life behind you. You dive into the fascination and beauty of the desert. You get to know the life of the Berbers and Nomads. Our guides cook for you traditional food and you sleep in small tents or under the thousands of stars.

Day 1 Mhamid - KrayAt Jmal

We pick you up at your riad in the morning. This trek takes us for six days on foot or on camel back to the most beautiful places in the Sahara. After about 3 hours towards Erg Chegaga we will have lunch break under a shady tree.

After another 3 hours we reach our first camp for the night. We pitch our tents at the dry river bed (KrayAt Jmal). We enjoy our dinner around the campfire and the night under the stars or tent.

Day 2 KrayAt Jmal - Bougarne

After breakfast we start into the vastness of the desert. We walk for about 4 hours, exploring and enjoying this fantastic landscape. We take a break under shady tamarisk trees and taste their nuts. After another 3 hours we reach the beautiful dune area of Bougarne. Enjoy the sunset from the top of the dunes. In the evening our guides serve us traditional food around the campfire and the night under the stars or in the tent.

Day 3 Erg Bougarne - Erg Chegaga

Once again, as usual, we continue our trek after our luggage is stowed on the camels. After about 3 hours of hiking through the beautiful countryside, we stop for lunch. This place is near a sacred oasis with palm trees and a water spring. After another 2 hours we arrived at the big sand dunes of Erg Chegaga. After a little relaxation with a cup of tea, it's time for an evening walk. At dusk you should definitely enjoy the unique sunset on the dunes. Campfire dinner with local program. Sleep in the tent or outside.

Day 4 Erg Chegaga - Ouad Laatac

After a good breakfast we head back to Mhamid, the gateway to the desert. We leave the Chegaga Dunes behind. After about 3 hours on foot or on the camel, we stop for lunch under a shady acacia tree. Later we move on and reach our night camp Ouad Laatach. Dinner around the campfire and overnight in the open air or tent.

Day 5 Ouad Laatac - Mezouaria

After a beautiful sunrise we enjoy the last breakfast in the desert and make our way back to Mhamid. For lunch we reach an area called Lbour. After another 3 hours our unforgettable desert trekking is over and we are back at our camp in Mhamid in the late afternoon. B/L/D

Day 6 Mezaouaria - Mhamid

Today the last breakfast in the Sahara, then we make our way back to Mhamid. Lunch break somewhere in the middle of nowhere or already in a nice riad in Mhamid, depending on your wishes. If we eat in the desert, we will reach Mhamid in the late afternoon.
