5 Days from Mhamid, Sidi Naji - Erg Ait Ounir

With our trekkings you leave your everyday life behind you. You dive into the fascination and beauty of the desert. You get to know the life of the Berbers and Nomads. Our guides cook for you traditional food and you sleep in small tents or under the thousands of stars.

Day 1 Mhamid - Sidi Naji

After meeting your team and making preparations, you start your trek with your guides and camels to the holy place of Sidi Naji. Lunch break will be under a shady tree. Have a little time to relax and enjoy a cup of nomadic tea before we continue to Sidi Naji. We stay in a very nice place near a holy site of the nomads. Dinner at the camp fire, sleep under the starry sky or in tent.

Day 2 Sidi Naji - Erg Ezzmaila

After a nice breakfast in the open air on the sand dunes, we start our day as usual to the dunes of Erg Ezzmaila. A break on the way. Later, the caravan moves on to our next destination. Set up our camp in a very nice place for the night. Have lunch and the rest of the day is yours. In the evening, a small tea ceremony at sunset while the caravan chef prepares a tasty tagine for dinner. Overnight in a tent, or under the stars.

Day 3 Erg Ezzmaila - Erg Zahar

The caravan continues towards Erg Zahar, we cross a large area with many sand dunes and we head towards the sea of sand named Erg Zahar, our overnight place. Lunch break before you climb the sand mountain to enjoy the sunset on one of the highest sand dunes in Morocco and look forward to a traditional dinner at the camp fire.

Day 4 Erg Zahar - Erg Ait Ounir

After a restful night and a hearty breakfast, the camel trek continues through the desert starting our way back to Mhamid, the gateway to the desert. After about 3 hours trekking, lunch break. Later we continue our hike to the dunes of Ait Ounir, our place for the night camp. Setting up our camp for the last night in the desert while the caravan chef prepares a delicious dinner for you.

Day 5 Erg Ait Ounir - Mhamid

After breakfast, the caravan takes the road back to Mhamid oasis and palm trees! Goodbye to your caravan team. Lunch break on the way, arrive Mhamid at about 4 or 5 pm, take you to your Riad/Hotel.
