4 Days from Mhamid, Singing Dunes of Zahar

With our trekkings you leave your everyday life behind you. You dive into the fascination and beauty of the desert. You get to know the life of the Berbers and Nomads. Our guides cook for you traditional food and you sleep in small tents or under the thousands of stars.

Day 1 Mhamid - Sidi Naji

We start our journey at 8.00 am towards the great dunes of Zahar. After about 3 hours of trekking we reach the beautiful oasis Rase Nkhal with dozens of palm trees for lunch. An example of ecotourism. At the end of the break we serve you a cup of mint tea (berber whiskey). That will give you the energy for another 3 hours of riding or walking.

We arrive Sidi Naji, we set up our night camp near a holy place of the nomads. We have our dinner next to the camp fire and enjoy the night under the starry sky.

Day 2 Sidi Naji - Erg Zahar

After breakfast, our journey takes us into the vastness of the Sahara. We walk for about 4 hours, explore and enjoy this fantastic scenery before we take a break under shady tamarisk trees and get some nuts for more energy. Later we reach the singing dunes of Erg Zahar, our overnight place. Look at the sunset from the top of one of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Enjoy the evening around the camp fire and the night under the starry sky or in the tent.

Day 3 Erg Zahar - Kraayat Jmal

In the morning, we continue our trekking through the extraordinarily beautiful dune landscape. After about 3 hours, we stop for our lunch under a shady tree. We continue to the Kraayat Jmal dunes, our overnight place. A vast area with sand and stony desert. Dinner around the camp fire again and overnight under the starry sky or in the tent.

Day 4 Kraayat Jmal - Mhamid

After a nice sunrise, we enjoy the last breakfast in the desert and make our way back to Mhamid. For lunch we reach another landscape called Lbour. After another 3 hours, our unforgettable desert trip is over and we are back to Mhamid late afternoon.
