Sahara Off-road Tour

Day 1 Fes - Ifrane - Merzouga

In the early morning, we pick you up from your hotel or riad and drive to the desert through the middle Atlas via Ifran, a town named “Moroccan Switzerland”. After 2 hours driving, we have a stop in a Cedar forest to see some wild monkeyes that still live there. We drive further south passing by volcanic rocks with an opportunity to view nomads living in tents alongside the way. Our next stop is in Midelt where you will enjoy your lunch. Later on, we continue our drive by crossing the TiziN’ Talghomt Pass (1907m) while enjoying the panoramic views and Berber towns. Arrive to Errachidia, you will see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil with its blue water. Continue our drive to Erfoud, you will have stop for a panoramic view of Aoufous palm oasis along Ziz valley. After another hour of driving, we get to the meeting place where you will meet your new tour guide, and camels, which are waiting to carry you for an unforgettable adventure in the sand dunes to explore the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. You will enjoy the beauty of the Sahara desert and the sunset over the golden dunes. After the sunset you will enjoy your dinner in front of the camp where you spend your night in a nomad tent or under the stars. -/-/D

Day 2 Merzouga - Todra & Dades Gorges

Wake up early to watch the sunrise, then after enjoy breakfast. You ride the camels back to Merzouga to start a new journey. We head towards the high Atlas and gorges. we pass many Berber settlements, which are distributed along the road. We drive through the small towns of Rissani, Jorf and Tinjdad. Our next stop is in Tinghir where you will have lunch. Later on, we will continue on the road alongside the river to reach the Todra Gorges where you will hike/walk on foot through this stunning place while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters) looking at the sky. Afterwards, we head to Boumalne Dades, then to the Dades Gorges where you will have time to see its rock formations “monkeys footprints”. Dinner and overnight stay in a typical riad. B/-/D

Day 3 Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakech

In the morning and as usual, we start driving to Marrakech along the longest street in Morocco via, El-Kelaâ M’Gouna and Skoura. You will admire the views of the Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs and rose valley. We will reach Ouarzazate known as Moroccan Hollywood City where you may have a stop to visit the filming studios. From here we head to the famous and well-preserved Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah from the 17th century is an ancient building to explore and a backdrop of numerous Hollywood films. Later on, you will be driven across the Tichka Pass (2260 m), you will have opportunities to take photos and enjoy the scenes of High Atlas Mountains along with Berber villages on the way. Arrive to Marrakech and transfer to the hotel/airport. B/-/-
