Day 1 Marrakech - Dades Gorges

In the morning, we pick you up from your riad and head towards the High Atlas Mountains. We cross the Tizin Tichka Pass with approx. 2.260 m. We make photo stops and breaks to explore the landscape of the Atlas region.

We visit the famous and well-preserved Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah from the 17th century is the backdrop of numerous Hollywood films.

The journey continues to Ouarzazate, where there are some active film studios. We stop for Lunch in Ouarzazate and then continue to Dades. Our journey resumes and takes us on to the Valley of Dades, travelling through magnificent oases of palm trees and spectacular kasbahs. Drive via Berber town Kelaa M'Gouna which known for tens of roses. We spend our first night in a lovely riad/hotel in Dades Gorges. -/-/D

Day 2 Dades Gorges - Zagora - Mhamid (Erg Lihoudi)

After breakfast in the hotel, we visit Dades Gorges and strange rockes known as "Monkeys footprints" before we continue on our journey to the spectacular Todra gorges. After a short walk through the gorges, The road leads to Zagora. we continue our journey to the Draa Valley. Later and after 3 hours of driving, we get to Zagora as the last big city before the desert with thousands of date palms. Lunch break in this city. Afterwards, we continue to Mhamid in a road which goes through some little villages in the middle of the palm groves. Later, we reach the camp of Erg Lihoudi as our last destination, dinner & night under the stars or in tents. B/-/D

Day 3 Erg Lihoudi - Dunes of Erg Chegaga (Camel ride and sandboarding)

In the morning and after breakfast in the camp, we go for a walk up to the sand dunes for sandboarding before we continue by jeep to the village of Mhamid. Then, we head towards Erg Chegaga passing various desert landscape full of sand dunes, trees and stony desert. After covering 50 km of track, we reach the sacred oasis, where we have lunch before continuing towards the dunes of Erg Chegaga – the amazing group of golden desert dunes stretching for 40 km and reaching a height of 300 meters. A cup of mint tea and some nuts are offered before you ride camels for an unforgettable tour to enjoy the sunset. A traditional nomad dinner with music around fire and overnight accommodation in a nomad tent or outside surrounded by the dunes of the Sahara. B/L/D

Day 4 Erg Chegaga - Tazenakht - Marrakech

Departure in the morning after breakfast, we start our day by car along the old track of the Paris-Dakar rally, through the dried up salty lake of Iriqui. We stop in a very old fossil place leaving the desert and sand dunes behind. Lunch in Tazenakht, a famous Berber carpet town. Return to Marrakesh via the high Atlas mountains towards evening. B/-/-
